All alone, except for the blue
Full moon that hangs alone.
The moon and I,
We are alike.
We chase after light,
And never reach our goal.
She chases the sun
In endless circles.
I run and run,
But I can never reach you.
The moon and I,
Each wandering our ways,
We met one dark night,
To be lonely together.
We sat there silently,
And then her hand
Took mine gently,
And we went.
The moon and I,
We set out to sea.
I watched her dark eye
As it filled up with tears
Her salty tears
Filled the salty sea
As her years and years
Of grief tumbled out.
The sky saw her grief
And took pity on
